Glossary

Basketball Court - The rectangular area where the game is played.

Dribbling - the act of continuously bouncing the basketball on the court. This is a mandatory act in the game.

Foul - An unfair attempt to put a player at a disadvantage through personal contact. May be considered a personal foul or a technical foul

Personal Foul - A foul given for breaking the rule on personal contact with the opposing player during a game.

Technical Foul - A foul given for violating the rules, specifically those governing unsportsmanlike conduct.
