About Billiards

Who would've thought that 15 balls, a table with holes and some sticks would comprise a popular sport, much less put millions of dollars at stake in competitions? For a simple game of alignment and speed, even social classes don't matter when the white ball starts to sink in the others.
At a social gathering, the game poses yet more possibilities. Newbies and die-hards can share a game or two, sometimes over drinks, in an atmosphere of good-natured competition. While some play, the others watch and get hooked with the game just the same.
The objective of the game is simple: to send the colored balls into any of the six pockets at the sides and corners of the table by poking them with a long wooden stick. A little geometry, a little physics and perhaps a good dose of luck, you can take any game.
