What are some bowling techniques?

There are basically three bowling techniques aside from the straight ball. These are the cranker, stroker and spinner/helicopter style. A cranker is a style of bowling which imparts utmost energy onto the ball for a great hook and awesome strike. In a stroker style, the bowler generates revolutions by a cupped, broken or muscle arm swing. A spinner is a type of release wherein the ball appears to spin similar to a top rather than roll and hook.

What is an average score?

An average is the sum of all the games of a player divided by the number of games played. An average can be used as a guide for recording progress.

What is a free armswing?

The free armswing is often referred to as a pendulum swing. The arm must work like a pendulum of a clock; the weighted end is driven by gravity not force.

How does one hold the ball?

Put fingers first, up to the second knuckle, then the thumb goes in. The thumb should go all the way for a great fit. The fingers and thumb should touch the holes without being tight.
