About Chess

Chess also known as the “Game of the Kings” is a board game requires strategy, tactics and theory. It is not based on luck and it is sometimes described as a “wargame”.

Chess started about 1400 years ago in India , it was a game called Chatarunga although other countries have claimed its originality such as Russia . But what is clear is that the game of Chess migrated to different nations at different times and at the same time having its rules evolved and therefore coming out with variations. These variations brought about the intense interest and devotion of its followers to this game. It was only in the 19 th Century where the current rules of chess were finalized.
