Men's Artistic Gymnastics

Men's Artistic Gymnastics shows off the male strength and precision. It shows the mastery of the athlete over his body. There are six events included in this kind of gymnastics
Floor
Called the floor exercises, gymnasts execute their routines on a carpeted area that is either foamed or springed. A gymnast is required to do some tumbling across the mat, in a routine that spans barely a minute. It will utilize all the skill of the athlete to execute all the twists, cartwheels, summersaults and other moves without losing his balance and with perfect form.
Pommel Horse
Considered one of the most difficult events in gymnastics, this requires the athlete to mount the pommel horse and swing his legs, up over and around the horse with only his hands actually touching the equipment. Though most people know that this calls for arm and leg strength, some may not realize that it calls for abdominal or core strength.
Vault
Speed, precision and agility are required of the athlete who competes in this event. They must sprint down the runway, leap onto the springboard and land perfectly balanced on the opposite side of vault after executing a flip or a twist in mid air.
Parallel Bars
The men must balance themselves as they swing on two bars about shoulder width apart. Again, skill and strength play a big part in order to be able to execute their routine well.
High Bar
Round and around the athlete must spin on the bar, keeping the body straight for most of the moves. He must execute swings, twists, releases and even change direction on the bar.
Rings
Here, two rings about eight feet in the air are the equipment utilized to showcase the athlete's strength and self-control. As with the high bar, they balance and swing in mid-air, twisting and gracefully landing on his feet at the end.
