Rink Hockey
There are actually two kinds of roller hockey. One is called inline hockey, wherein players use inline skates. Inline hockey is very similar to ice hockey except that inline skates are used instead of ice skates. The other kind of roller hockey uses quad skates to move around and is sometimes called Quad hockey or hardball hockey. The two games can be confused for each other though because they are both more commonly called roller hockey. Although the two games are very similar they operate with different set of rules and are played on different fields with inline hockey played on ice and hardball hockey usually played on concrete. Watching inline hockey is like watching ice hockey while watching hardball hockey is more like watching soccer or basketball. |
