Synchronized Skating

Synchronized skating is more like a ballet on ice. This type of figure skating calls for the team usually composed of 12 to 20 members, to perform their choreographed number gracefully and in unison. It is also called precision skating.
Speed, agility and balance are among the skills required for this sport. One wrong move can cause the whole team to tumble and fall. The beauty of this sport is that there is no age limit on the skaters. Teams can compete in the preliminary. Novice, junior, senior and masters divisions.
Currently it is not an Olympic sport but it is among the events at the World Championships.
