About Kickboxing

A growing sport has people kicking, punching and jabbing. You have had a long day at the office or at home with the kids and you feel tense. You have this desire to somehow release the aggression and tension you are feeling and running on the treadmill is just too sedate. You're about ready to join the NFL and volunteer for special team “kamikaze” duty, but being 100 pounds too light, 20 years too old and far too slow; it's not going to happen.
Kickboxing is the hot new workout. This relatively new form of exercise is sweeping the country, getting both men and women who shunned aerobic classes to (literally) kick up their heels! Made popular by Billy Blank's Tai Bo tapes, kickboxing is a way of exercise that combines the kicking of karate with the punching and jabbing of boxing. You don't have to be really coordinated, as there isn't a lot of choreography involved. You simply follow the kickboxing instructor's lead to kick, punch or jab in time to music.
